RasInTask

Compiled Program

RasInTask 1.1 is now much more professional than previous versions were. So I deceided to change the license a bit. No. Please don't worry now. RasInTask remains freeware, but:

• ISPs are not allowed to bundle RasInTask with their Accounts unless they have a explicit permission written by me. I will create a Version that contains the Logo of the ISP in the about box. This license is not free. Please contact me to learn how much it would cost.
• Companies other than ISPs that want to use RasInTask can do that for free as long as they have a permission by me (this is free). Please contact me if you wish to use RasInTask for your company.
• RasInTask remains completely free without any limitations for private use, but please tell me, if you use the program (although you don't have to). Please send me a postcard, if you like the program!

Why this stupid license? I think that RasInTask is now a professional dialer. I also think that it has to remain free for private users, since they had to find it and finding a program costs money. ISPs on the other hand can profit much from a program like RasInTask, so I think that I am allowed to ask for some money (think of it: ISPs can have their own Logo within the Application. My name will remain still there, but I will remove the weblink. This is really worth some money).
Why am I asking other companies to ask me for a permission? This is pure interest: I would really like to know, if companies use my tool.

Sourcecode

RasInTask still comes with full (Delphi 4) sourcecode. You are allowed to do anything with it but:

• Re-Release a compiled version of it without asking me for permission
• Release a DialUp-Dialer that uses more than 80% of my code (I trust you)
• Release a DialUp-Dialer that uses any of my code and costs more than $10

In commercional/shareware-Applications, you are required to add a small note about RasInTask to the AboutBox of your Program, if you are using parts of my sourcecode. The note must contain the URL (or better a Weblink) of this Site (http://www.sen.ch/pilif/).

In Freeware-Applications you are not required to credit me, but you should add a small note to the sourcecode that you used portions of RasInTask, if you are giving the Source away with your program.

Other stuff

Yes, my software and texts are freeware. I do not weish your money for it, but please give me some respect (and probably a postcard or something like that). Please read this text before you download something from my page.

• Althought I give you the full sourcecode, all the Applications/Units/Texts are my property. You can recompile them and give them to other poeple but you
  • must not redistribute the product under another autor's name.
  • must not remove my name from the sourcecode
  • must give a note to the source, if you use parts of my software in your Application
  • must not earn money with my program (althought you are permitted to put my program on a Shareware-CD-Rom, as long as you do not ask your customers for to much money)
• Please send my your feedback. It does not matter if this is done with an Email, a postcard, a coupon for McDonalds or something other.
• Do not send me any files with the size of 1MB or more which contain only a program that is similar to mine. Ido NOT say, that I am the only person in this world which writes DUN-Extensions!
• And of course I cannot guarantee that my software will not destroy your computer and that it will start on your configuration.
