About the new version 1.08

(Here comes very much text. As you possibly know, I am not very good in englisch and now it is very late (22:50), so please forgive me the mistakes and try to understand the text anyway. For me it is very important)

As I said some times before, I am very proud of the new release: I have nearly reprogrammed the whole option-dialog, implemented many new features, did a big bugfixing and finally, implemented in only one day a feature that Arjen Westerink wished to have implemented.

When I think about my work, which I did mostly in my holidays, I see, that I do for my "customers" much more than oter, big companies do. Ok, my programs could have more Bugs than a professional program, but if I find one, I'll fix it in one or two hours and then I will release a patch. If Microsoft, for example finds about two hundert bugs, they will release also a patch, but they need mor than 3 months and finally, they want money for the patch. My program is freeware and I do not think of changing this, because I think that Freeware is a important part of the Internet and the future of mankind (ok, this is possibly a bit to much...). And I hope that I can inspire many other people to release also freeware with the full sourcecode. The science will do big steps if there is an exchange of knowledge.

An other thing, I wish to discuss here is the following:

A classmate of mine, I have a small commertional Webdesign-Company running with him, was a long time very sceptic about the sense of RasInTask. When I released the first verion I was very excited about it. In the whole class I told some stories about my new "product". Many poeple were also excited (although nearly nobody understood about what I am speaking...), but my frined said "Not bad, but please do something which is more serious".
I did not stop with updating the software and received many mails and even postcards. Some companies even asked me, if I would work for them! I said "No. I am for now going to school and programming is for now only a hobby of mine". But back to the topic:

My program growed more and more and I received more and more postcards, with the result, that my friend is now trying to let me make a shareware-version from RasInTask which he could distribute (I mean: I will loose many of my fans, and he will earn monay with the program I have written). His arguments are: "You are not able to distribute a program" or "You will not have enought success when you will sold your tool without my help" and other stuff. When he tells such stroies, he forgets some important points:

• I think that freeware is the most important invention of the last 10 years.
• I think that I cannot earn money with something that I have fun with.
• I could easily develop a shareware-prorgam without the help of some poeple which think my programs are nonsense. Have only a look at organisations like Share-It
• If I would need help to distribute and sold my programs, I would not ask somebody that first says that I have done only crap.

Ok, that is enought. I think you now know my philosophy and you know something about the importance of frewware!

The best from three months RasInTask

I will not place here Awards, RasInTask won in the last three months. For this decision I have two raisons. First of all, RasInTask did not get any awards and I will not show you how good my program is. Either you find it cool, then you should get it now. Else you should leave this page. For me it doesn't matter if you take the first variant or the second. RasInTask is Freeware, so I do not earn money with downloads.
On this page I will show you cool things that happened while I was working on my program. I will show you the coolest bugs, the coolest feedback and all the other nonsense-stuff.
